Fully Funded UCD Visiting Fellowship 2025 in Ireland

The UCD Visiting Fellowship 2025 in Ireland is a fully funded program, which allows international researchers to work on an innovative research at the Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD), University College Dublin. The fellowship is a prestigious 3-month fellowship that is available to global candidates and assists in working in diverse interdisciplinary areas, such as development studies, agronomy, gender studies, digital agriculture, rural sociology, political economy, and ICT4D.

Fellows will participate fully in the life of the Centre, including research, seminars and some teaching; they will have a limited amount of administrative duty. The program includes a full financial support, which is covering the visa costs, round trip travel, housing and meals, living stipend. It has no application fee, and early career researchers as well as more established scholars (within 15 years of PhD) are invited to apply.

Fellowship Purpose

This fellowship is to carry out research to promote sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa on agriculture. The priority areas are gender-responsive, climate-smart, and technological solutions in agriculture.

Fellows will play an active role in the research, seminars, teaching and minor administrative roles of the Centre during their association with the Centre.

  • 1st September to 30th November

Eligibility Criteria

  • Accepts applications of any nationality
  • Scholars within 15 years of their PhD destination are encouraged to apply as Early Career Researchers (ECRs)
