Eligibility Requirements

The following requirements are needed for the USEFP Fulbright Scholarship 2026:

For MA Students:

  • A Bachelor’s degree of 4 years with 16 total years, including Bachelor’s 
  • Must be completed at a recognized institution.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Must have worked for a minimum of 2 years for the MBA candidate.

For PhD Candidates:

  • A Bachelor’s degree of 4 years and a Master’s degree would bring the total to 18 years of formal education. 
  • Graduation from a recognized university.

Fulbright GRE Requirements

All students are required to take the General GRE Test. The minimum score requirement is at least 145 per section. Students scoring at least 290 (humanities/social sciences) or 300+ (engineering/sciences) can apply for fair GRE fee reimbursement (first 30 qualified applicants).

Sixteen years of study, or a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent, are required of applicants to Master's programs. Candidates for PhDs must have completed 18 years of coursework at an approved university, earning a Master's or M.Phil.
