Internship Locations
The FAO has numerous International offices for you to work within, with tenure at Rome, Italy, at their primary International office. Depending on your background and the office, you may rotate at several International offices.
Eligibility Criteria
You may apply for the FAO internship in 2016 if you fulfill the following criteria:
- You must be a citizen of a country that is a member of the FAO
- You are either currently enrolled in a university for a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD, or have completed such programs
- Any person within the age of 21-30 years is eligible
- You have working knowledge of at least one out of the three FAO working languages (English, French or Spanish)
- You must have a college/university degree that is recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
What Will Interns Do?
You will be expected to fulfill the following roles as an FAO intern:
- Conducting actions for support or further development of professional assignments
- Participating in the development of documents, and methodologies or policy frameworks
- Cooperative work
- Providing assistance
- Research and Analysis
- Implementation of the Project
- Working with International Teams
- Assisting in drafting Reports and Policies
