2025 UNESCO China Scholarship (Completely Sponsored)

Applications are currently being accepted for the UNESCO China Scholarship 2025. This Scholarship is fully funded by UNESCO and the Republic of China. It’s also known as the UNESCO/China Jointly Sponsored Fellowships Program. There are 75 fellowship opportunities available for students and researchers. 

The UNESCO China Fellowship’s objective is to support Master’s and Doctoral degree programs at universities in China. It also provides opportunities for individual research under the guidance of assigned supervisors in China. This program does not require any application fee. Applicants from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab region are eligible to apply. 

The academic term will start in September 2025. This is a completely sponsored scholarship in China. All costs will be covered by UNESCO and the Chinese Government. Here are additional details.

Qualification Requirements

  • The UNESCO China Fellowship is accessible to people from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab region. (Refer to the list of countries mentioned below).
  • Applicants for the General Scholar category must have a high school diploma and be below 45 years of age.
  • Applicants for the Senior Scholar category must possess a Master’s degree or a comparable academic position and be below 50 years of age.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Applicants for the Master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree and be below 35 years old.
  • Applicants for the PhD program must hold a master’s degree and be below 40 years old.

Candidates must Thoroughly review the Application Guidelines and then Reach out to the National Commission for UNESCO in their home country to understand the application process.
