Fully Funded World Forum for Democracy 2025 Youth Delegation to France

The World Forum for Democracy 2025 is an annual event organized by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, and applications are now open. This is a fully funded conference that will be held between 5th and 7th November 2025 at the European Youth Centre and it will be attended by a dynamic group of youth delegates, policymakers, civil society leaders, journalists, and academics.

The chosen youth delegation will come on 2nd November 2025 to prepare, collaborate and learn before the forum. There is no application fee, and the young leaders who are passionate and come all over the world are encouraged to apply.

The theme is intended to respond to the threats to democratic values that are experienced across the world and to promote youth-led solutions that are bold.

The World Forum on Democracy 2025 is a platform where important democratic issues can be discussed, the role of youth can be brought to the fore, and new ideas on how to protect democracy can be offered. This is your opportunity to join a fully funded international conference on democracy, civic innovation and global impact.

Theme of the World Forum for Democracy 2025

The theme of this year focuses on the increasing challenges to the democratic values across the world and challenges the participants to find ways of democratic revival.

Youth Delegation at the World Forum for Democracy

The involvement of the youth in the World Forum of Democracy is not only welcome but also necessary. Youth delegates have new visions, radical thoughts, and creative solutions. They are actively involved to make sure that the younger generation is heard, their opinions are valued and represented in the most important democratic debates.

The youth delegates will be selected and will meet in the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg two days before the actual commencement of the Forum. At this stage of preparation, they will:

Learn about the work of the Council of Europe and its activities with young people.
Get to know other delegates and develop networking and cooperation.
Refine their ideas and work on common contributions.
Plan strategically on how to contribute to the main sessions of the Forum.

In the process, the youth delegates are enabled to create a significant dialogue and impact innovation of democracy at the international level.
