Embassy Track: Applicants must contact their own country’s South Korean embassy.

University Track: The best way here is to apply directly to one of the recognized universities in Korea.

Program Duration

Associate Degree: One year of Korean language training and 2 to 3 years program leading to a degree.

Undergraduate Degree: The degree program will take four to six years and before commencing this, students will undergo 1-year Korean language training.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the GKS 2025 program, you must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship: It applies to all the applicants who aren’t from Korea.

Educational Background:

Persons with a bachelor’s degree cannot apply.

Credit formations granted an associate degree may apply to the bachelor’s program.

Academic Requirements:

CGPA: Minimum GPA of 2.64 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent to be determined by the home institution).

Percentile: 80% or above.

Age Limit: Must be under 25 years old.

Health: Applicants should not have a history of diseases or illness; they must be physically and mentally fit and healthy.

Application Process

You can apply via two tracks:

Embassy Track: You must submit your application to the Korean Embassy in your country.

University Track: For viewers to directly apply, transition to a training facility at one of the participating universities.

Make sure you prepare the following:

  • Completed application form
  • Statement of purpose and academic proposal
  • Recommendation letter(s)
  • Degree certificate or the result if completion of study expected within the next one academic year
  • Academic transcripts
  • Proof of parents’ citizenship
  • Passport copy

  • The awards and/or certificates (if exist)

Language proficiency:

The language of a particular country, especially the first language, is strongly recommended but not compulsory.
