The White House Internship Program 2026 is an exclusive program that allows students to apply to work in the White House and get direct experience in serving the people. This internship is held in the White House in Washington, DC, and puts the participants at the heart of the U.S. government operations, providing them with a rare opportunity to make a contribution to the national efforts and acquire leadership skills and interact with the top officials.
It is a Public Service Leadership Program that seeks to provide the next generation of leaders with the tools, insight, and mentorship they need to pursue meaningful careers in government and the public service. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs are welcome to apply to the program and the program is designed to give them a deep understanding of the executive branch and its dedication to serving the people of America.
Experienced professionals will mentor the interns and they will play a significant role in daily operations in different departments. The President, First Lady, and the White House personnel are honored to be a part of this initiative, which is in line with the values and mission of the Trump Administration.

Interns Responsibilities

Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be eligible to the White House Internship Program, the applicants should fulfill the following:
- Be a citizen of the United States and be at least 18 years old
- Currently enrolled in a college, community college, or university (two- to four-year institution) as an undergraduate or graduate student, and have completed at least two semesters
- OR have graduated in the last two years with an eligible degree program
- OR be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have served on active duty in the past two years
- Working hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
