Online Internship (Remote)

• Do work from your home country
• Managed and supervised by host companies

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates for the METI Japan Internship Program 2026 are required to:

• Be a citizen of a country that is on the OECD/DAC list (excluding China)
• Be at least 18 and generally less than 40 years of age
• Be a student in the final year or a University graduate
• Be proficient in English and/or Japanese (JLPT N3 / CEFR B1 level)
• Not currently reside in Japan
• Not completed internships at METI during 2016-25
• Be prepared to assist Japanese firms in overseas expansion
• Be ready to help Japanese businesses to go overseas
• Have necessary documentation (letters of recommendation, certificates, etc.) to submit
• Be interested in working in Japan
