GKS 2027 Eligibility Requirements

Students who graduated or are expected to graduate from a high school or from an associate degree program can apply for bachelor’s degree program.

Applicants may also be eligible to apply if they have a rank in the top 20% of their class or have a CGPA scale of 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0.

Applicant’s age should be below 25 years to avail this South Korea scholarship. The age limit for applicants is as of 1st March 2002.

Pupils should be physically and mentally fit.

They need to send in English Language Requirements / Certificates.

Finally, applicants should not have criminal history or other reasons for disqualification for overseas travel.

Applicants are expected to receive their expected graduation date by December 31, 2026 and must submit a certificate of expected graduation at the time of application and will submit their graduation or degree certificate and transcript if selected in the first round by December 31, 2026.

Students who have completed or are about to complete their studies at a Korean high school or Korean associate degree program are ineligible to apply.

If someone had already been awarded a scholarship for a degree program by the Korean government, he/she cannot apply again.

Individuals with an application to the degree program for GKS who were not selected or disqualified from the scholarship in the last three years are not eligible.

Those who have been exempted from Korean language program (TOPIK level 5/6) at the beginning will automatically be awarded Korean Proficiency Grants.
