Topics For Competitions

The concept of “border(ring)” how boundaries are evolving and how they are more than just lines on a map should be the main topic of your essay. The competition aims to investigate volumetric boundaries, such as those influenced by emerging power structures, technology, and climate change.

Guiding inquiries:

  • What function do boundaries currently or will they serve in arranging spaces?
  • What other discursive and technical environments of power and control might exist?
  • Adding images to your essay, such as pictures, sketches, or even poetry, can also make it more interesting.
