Fully Funded Singapore A STAR ACIS Scholarship 2026 

 

The scholarship offered in Singapore to foreign students. One of the strengths of this opportunity is that it could be applied both by final-year undergraduate and graduate students. The scholarship is distributed by the Government Agency called the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR), which is an agency of Singapore.

ACIS, or ASTAR Computing and Information Science Scholarship, is intended to get both Singaporean and international candidates interested in studying computing and information science (CIS) disciplines at a PhD level. International scholars must satisfactory complete a three year conscription with Singapore-based companies upon completion of the program. The explanation of that is further elaborated below.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Singaporeans are welcome as well as other nationalities
• Internationals seeking jobs in Singapore have to hold or be close to obtaining a degree
• Should be Second class upper degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
• All the final-year undergraduate students are welcome to apply
• An interest in computing and information science (CIS) is necessary

Service Commitment:

Foreigners who receive the scholarship must work three years in a Singapore-based company associated with CIS after their graduation.

How Do I Apply?

The applications can only be made on the AGS so that applicants can apply online. Interviews will be conducted on short listed candidates. The FAQ published on the AGS site also strongly suggests that the applicants should read it before the application.
