Through this program, young leaders from Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America come to the United States for a four-week professional placement with prestigious businesses and social entrepreneurs. Who May Apply?
In order to qualify for the USA’s Fully Funded YLAI Fellowship Program 2026, candidates need to:
- Be between the ages of 25 and 35 on January 1, 2026.
- Be a citizen and a resident of one of the Americas’ participating nations.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Possess at least two years of leadership or business ownership experience.
- Qualify for a J-1 visa to the United States.
- Not hold a government job or be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Applications from a variety of backgrounds and individuals with impairments are highly welcomed.

Features Of The Fellowship
Professional Placement: Four weeks of practical experience with a business or organization in the United States.
Leadership Curriculum: IREX and Arizona State University offer both online and live courses.
