Applicants are required to explain how their project relates to Johannesburg and JIAS.

The JIAS Writing Fellowship is a three-month fully funded residency program scheduled for Johannesburg, South Africa, from April 1 to June 30, 2025. This initiative is aimed at scholars and creatives interested in exploring the theme of Global Blackness.
