Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of a developing country and a member of the World Bank.  
  • I have received an unconditional offer from a participating university.  
  • Possess a minimum of three years of full-time paid, development-related professional experience.  
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) obtained at least three years before the application deadline.  

Application process

To apply, submit an online application for a Master’s program at one of the universities eligible for the World Bank Scholarship. You may apply for the scholarship upon receiving an unconditional admission offer. The application deadline for the 2025 scholarship is February 2.
