Scholarship duration:

  • Undergraduate: 4 Years  
  • Master’s: 2 Years  
  • PhD: 5 Years  

Eligibility criteria:  

  • Available to new applicants who have not previously received any government scholarship.  
  • To qualify for renewal, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate studies or 3.5 for graduate studies.  
  • Proficiency in English is required.  
  • Submission of transcripts and documentation from prior academic qualifications is necessary.

NYCU offers five distinct scholarships: the NYCU International Student Scholarship (available for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs) and the NYCU Elite Ph.D. Scholarship (specifically for PhD candidates), the Taiwan Scholarship (applicable to Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs), the TIGP Scholarship (for PhD students), and the Indian Institute of Technology Industry Fellowship/Scholarship (designated for PhD candidates).

These scholarships include a monthly stipend between NT$5,000 and NT$30,000, contingent upon the degree level, and a tuition waiver or reduced fees.

Applicants must not have previously received any other government scholarship, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate studies or 3.5 for graduate studies, and demonstrate English proficiency. Furthermore, all prior degrees and academic transcripts are required.
