Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, commonly known as SURF 2027, is a summer fellowship for undergraduate students from Purdue University, other US universities and universities worldwide to participate in research projects at Purdue University.

Selected fellows are assigned to actual research projects, supervised by Purdue faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. They attend workshops and seminars, and present their work at the SURF Symposium, along the way. There is no application fee and a stipend of $6500 and housing support are provided for Fellows.

• Nationality: Students of all nationalities are welcome.
• Prerequisites: Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree student with full-time enrolment in a Bachelor’s Degree programme.
• Progress: 1 Semester or Quarter completed prior to Application Deadline.
• GPA: Minimum 2.8/4.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher.
• Final Report: All Fellows shall make a final report to their project advisor.
• Visa: International Fellows will require a U.S. J-1 visa. The supporting documents are provided by Purdue.
