The Fully Funded UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship 2025 in Poland is now accepting applications. The phrase “co-sponsored” refers to the fact that UNESCO and the Polish government are working together to promote this unique opportunity, a six-month research fellowship held by the AGH University of Kraków.

This fellowship is intended to provide young researchers from specific nations the opportunity to carry out advanced studies and research in science, technology, or engineering. It will run from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. There will be 28 fellows chosen from all over the world.

Who May Apply?

Candidates must be nationals of the following eligible nations:

  • Africa comprises 21 countries, including South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, and others.
  • Iraq and Bahrain are two Arab States.
  • The 22 nations comprising Asia and the Pacific include Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, Fiji, Uzbekistan, and others.
  • Twelve nations comprise Latin America and the Caribbean, including Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, and Peru.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible, a person must be a citizen of one of the qualifying nations.
  • Candidates must be at least 32 years old.
  • Students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees are welcome.
  • Annex I (Terms & Conditions) and Annex IV (Research Fields) must be reviewed.
  • Maximum stay length: six months

Documents Needed:

Completed application for a UNESCO fellowship

  • A valid passport
  • A recent passport-sized photograph
  • Academic degrees in certified copy (English translation)
  • UNESCO certificate of linguistic competency
  • Two recommendation letters

How to Apply: 

You must apply through the National Commission for UNESCO in your country. We will only accept recommendations from these commissions. Ensure that the necessary documents are sent via the proper national channel.
